Product overview
The Philips Avance Collection HR1922/21 is a high-performance centrifugal juicer for households that want fast extraction from apples, carrots, beetroot, cucumbers, pineapple and other suitable produce. Its 1200W motor and wide 80mm feeding tube reduce preparation time, while FibreBoost Technology gives the user a choice between clearer juice and a thicker texture containing more natural fruit and vegetable fibre.
This model is designed for larger batches rather than a single small glass. The one-litre serving jug and 2.1-litre pulp container support longer juicing sessions, while QuickClean features make the sieve, pulp path and main removable parts easier to rinse after use.
The HR1922/21 is a centrifugal juicer. It separates juice from most insoluble pulp at high speed. It is not a blender and will not retain the entire fruit structure in the drink.
FibreBoost Technology
FibreBoost lets the user select a refreshing clearer juice or a creamier drink with up to 50% more fibre under Philips test conditions. The system combines controlled motor speeds with a specially designed sieve to change how much fine fruit and vegetable material passes into the juice.
The thicker setting does not turn the appliance into a whole-fruit blender. Peel, seeds, coarse pulp and most insoluble fibre remain in the pulp container. It simply provides greater texture and body than the clearer setting.
Use the selector before or during a juicing session as directed in the manual. Different ingredients respond differently: soft produce may create a thicker drink, while firm watery ingredients may show a smaller texture difference.
Powerful 1200W extraction
The 1200W motor is designed to process both soft and firm produce. Apples, carrots and beetroot can be fed steadily without forcing the pusher. The motor provides power, but extraction quality also depends on ingredient freshness, feed rate and a clean sieve.
Insert produce one piece at a time and use only the supplied pusher. Pressing too hard can overload the feed system and may push wetter pulp through before juice has separated efficiently.
The machine has two speed settings. Use the setting recommended for the ingredient type and follow the Philips manual rather than assuming maximum speed is necessary for every fruit or vegetable.
80mm XXL feeding tube
The approximately 80mm feeding tube accepts many apples, carrots and similarly sized ingredients with little or no cutting. This saves preparation time when juicing larger quantities.
Produce must still be washed thoroughly. Remove thick inedible peel, hard stones and any part that cannot pass safely through the tube. Oversized or irregular fruit should be cut into manageable pieces rather than forced into the opening.
Never place fingers, cutlery or other tools inside the feeding tube. Use only the supplied pusher while the appliance is assembled and running.
QuickClean system
The polished sieve has smoother surfaces that allow pulp fibres to be wiped away more easily with a kitchen sponge. The round pulp container reduces corners where residue can become trapped.
Philips also provides a pre-clean function. Water is poured through the pusher area as directed, creating a rinsing action inside the juicing chamber. This is useful between recipes and before full disassembly, but it does not replace complete cleaning.
For the easiest maintenance, rinse all removable parts immediately after juicing. Dried carrot, beetroot and citrus residue becomes significantly harder to remove.
Large pulp container and juice jug
The 2.1L pulp container lets the user prepare a larger quantity before stopping to empty waste. The one-litre jug receives the extracted juice and makes serving easier.
Actual juice yield varies considerably. Ingredient variety, ripeness, temperature, fibre content and feed pressure all influence how much liquid reaches the jug. Slightly moist pulp is normal in centrifugal juicers.
Do not allow the pulp container to become packed beyond its practical limit. Compacted pulp can interfere with airflow and extraction.
Drip-stop spout
The integrated drip stop is activated by turning the spout as specified by Philips. It helps reduce drops on the worktop when the jug is removed or the juicing session pauses.
Open the spout before starting the motor and confirm that the jug is positioned correctly. Operating with the drip stop closed may cause juice to back up inside the collector.
Preparing produce correctly
Wash fruits and vegetables before juicing. Remove thick peel that would not normally be eaten, including orange, pineapple, melon and uncooked beetroot skin where appropriate. Remove hard stones from peaches, plums and similar fruit.
Bananas, avocados, mangoes and very starchy ingredients are generally unsuitable for centrifugal extraction because they contain little free juice. Use a blender for those ingredients.
Leafy greens can be processed, but yield may be lower than with a slow juicer. Roll leaves together and feed them between firmer ingredients for more stable movement through the sieve.
Cleaning and safety
Switch off and unplug the juicer before opening the locking arm or removing parts. The sieve contains sharp cutting surfaces and should be handled by its outer edge.
Philips lists the removable components as dishwasher safe, but the motor base must be wiped only and never immersed. Allow every component to dry before reassembly or storage.
Inspect the sieve before each use. Do not operate the machine if the filter is cracked, distorted or damaged.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does FibreBoost do?
It lets you choose between clearer juice and a creamier texture containing more fine fruit and vegetable fibre.
Does it retain all fibre?
No. It remains a centrifugal juicer and separates most coarse pulp from the juice.
Can whole apples be inserted?
Many apples fit through the 80mm tube, but oversized or irregular produce should be cut and all ingredients must be prepared safely.
Can it juice bananas or avocados?
No. Those are better processed in a blender.
How large is the pulp container?
Approximately 2.1 litres.
How large is the juice jug?
Approximately one litre.
Does pre-clean replace washing?
No. It assists rinsing, but the removable parts still require complete cleaning.
What warranty applies?
The standard appliance carries a two-year Philips worldwide guarantee.
