Solar security lights in Kenya are useful where you want dependable exterior illumination without extending electrical wiring to every point. They are widely used at gates, parking areas, farm compounds, side passages, perimeter corners, driveways and building entrances.

Start with the security problem, not the wattage
Walk around the property after dark and identify where visibility is poor. Typical priorities include the main gate, pedestrian entrance, vehicle parking, dark corners, loading areas and routes between buildings.
Floodlight or streetlight?
Use a solar floodlight for broad areas such as a yard, gate apron or parking space. Use a solar streetlight for a driveway, lane or perimeter road. For compact entrances or corridors, a solar bulkhead may be sufficient.
Avoid creating glare
A badly aimed security light can make visibility worse by creating glare and deep shadow. Mount the light above normal eye level where appropriate and aim it toward the target area rather than directly toward people, neighbouring property or public roads.
Use multiple lighting points when necessary
One very bright fitting cannot always cover a complex property. Two or more moderate lights positioned at different angles may provide more useful security coverage with fewer blind spots.
Solar panel placement is critical
Security lighting must be reliable, so charging conditions matter. Keep the panel out of permanent shade and clear from dust, leaves and debris. If a location is heavily shaded throughout the day, a mains-powered fitting may be the better solution.
Weather protection

Colour temperature for security lighting
